Carrier 24ACA442A0030010 Limit Switch
The limit switch contains a sensor in the air handler that determines when the air is actually warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. The reason limit switches exist is because if the air never warms up then the house will never get warm enough.
How do you know if your main limit switch is dying?
- Your Carrier system refuses to start or run for any length of time
- The Carrier system is starting to behave differently often
