Carrier 24ACA460A0030010 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is responsible for keeping the compressor cool, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat that needs to be dispersed in order to keep things cool. Be sure you find one with the voltage that is the same and correct amp current as on the current fan motor. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced without having to go through the hassle of getting a new blade as this tends to make installing it easier and cheaper too.
Signals the condenser fan motor has very little life left
- The Carrier motor does not move the blade
- The cooling motor catches fire or throws sparks when it is spinning
- An ugly squeaking sound when the motor is stopping
