Carrier 24ANA748A0030020 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch contains a sensor in the air handler that determines if and when the air is warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. A limit switch was crafted because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
Easy warnings of a poorly working critical limit switch
- The heating and cooling system will not begin the ignition sequence or will not stay running as it should
- The HVAC system starts to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly from time to time
