Carrier 25HNA624A0030020 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat must be dissipated. The unit may be replaced by itself without the fan blade, this may make it a lot easier and reduce the price overall. Just make sure the replacement motor has the correct voltage listed as well as amperage as it is on the current motor.
What red flags are there that my condenser fan motor is on its last leg?
- The Carrier cooling motor fails to spin the blade
- An unpleasant crackling noise when the motor is stopping
- The cooling motor starts to smoke or shorts out as it turns
