Carrier 25HNA936A0030030 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, because as the compressor gets hot the heat energy has to be dispersed in order to keep things cool. It can be replaced sans the blade, this results in an easier installation and reduce costs overall. Just make sure the new motor has the correct voltage and the correct amp listing as it is on the bad motor.
Some warnings the fan motor is going out
- A distinct screeching sound as the motor starts
- The motor smells burnt or sparks while in use
- The Carrier cooling motor does not move the blade
