It is impossible for your furnace or air handler to even be able to function lest the circuit board is accurately installed and configured. The control board is constructed to control the gas valve, the igniter, the flame sensor as well as the blower all together. Any control board you choose will have a matching part number that will fit in both the make and model of furnace or air handler you have. You must do some research while choosing a new control board due to the vast differences in models within certain brands.
Red flags your primary control board will need to be replaced
- The AC or furnace cannot do anything whatsoever
- There is some sort of code being shown on the front of the control board
