Carrier 25HPA548H0030010 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is primarily in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat has got to be discharged into the air outside. It is critical that you buy a replacement motor with the correct voltage and the correct amp listing as on the current fan motor. The unit may be replaced without the need of replacing the blade too, this tends to make installing it easier and reduce the price overall.
Red flags the fan motor will need replacing
- An unpleasant grinding sound while the cooling fan speeds up
- The Carrier cooling motor does not move at all
- The main cooling motor begins to smoke or shorts out while in use
