Carrier 30H Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has an important job of cooling the outdoor compressor, due to the large amount of heat energy has to be dispersed in order to keep things cool. Just make sure the new motor has the proper voltage and the same amps as it is on the bad motor. It can be replaced with or without the blade, this may make it a lot easier and will not drain your bank account.
Some warnings the fan motor needs to be replaced
- The compressor cooling motor smells burnt or throws sparks when it begins to turn
- An unknown crackling noise as the motor is starting or stopping
- The Carrier motor tries but fails to turn at all
