Carrier 30HR Limit Switch
The limit switch has a sensor in the heat exchanger that determines when the heated air is actually warm enough for the blower to be activated. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
What red flags are there that my critical limit switch is about to go out?
- The heating and cooling system is unable to start nor will it stay running as it should
- The whole system is starting to become inconsistent on a regular basis
