Carrier 35BF Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost control board will begin the defrost sequence which may be needed in order to get rid of the frost that collects on the outdoor unit. It depends on a temperature sensor which is near the condenser somewhere, in order to verify when to initiate the defrosting cycle.
Some clues the AC defrost sensor board will die soon
- The AC may not run for the simple fact of too much frost
- The defrost sequence does not run especially when there is frost that has built up
- The main circuit board may issue an error number produced by a bad defrost control board
