Carrier 35BF Limit Switch
Limit switches exist because if the air is not warm enough then you will never get hot air through the ducts. A normal limit switch contains a sensor located in the furnace that can determine when the heated air is actually warm enough to activate the main blower.
Major signs limit type switch is in need of replacing
- The heating and cooling system will not start nor will it stay running longer than 30 seconds
- The Carrier system starts to shut down unexpectedly more than once
