Carrier 380B Control Board
The Carrier 380B control board is created to regulate the gas valve, the igniter, all the sensors and the blower all at once. The system will cease to run unless this board is in connected and operational. Be very careful when you are deciding on a replacement due to the vast differences in systems. Any control board you choose must have a matching part number consistent with the brand and the model of the unit you have installed.
Simple indications of a defective control board
- The unit will not go period
- The system board needs to be reset quite often in order to run
- There seems to be a numbered error code lit up on the front of the control board

Before buying or ordering any Carrier 380B part, do your due diligence and cross-check the model number and also make a visual inspection in order to be sure the correct control board is being ordered. Replacing the control board is not difficult assuming you have the time and have the tools to do it right.
