Carrier 380B Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is a device that can reliably detect the exact flame upon ignition. Because of the safety issues involved, if the sensor goes off the entire HVAC system will stop for as long as it takes to remedy the problem.
Major indications the primary flame sensor is failing
- The unit runs infrequently but only on the third Wednesday of on months beginning on Thursday
- The heat system refuses to produce any heat at all
