Carrier 380B Ignition Control Board
The main reason to have an ignition control board is that it keeps an eye on gas intake, the ignition ignitor and other safety devices built into the system. It is an important circuit board that is now usually a vital part of the main control board for safety reasons.
What are some hints that my main ignition board is about to go out?
- The initial signal from the remote thermostat never makes contact with the control board
- The main ignition cycle will not commence even when the thermostat kicks it on
- Every other thing within the heating and AC system is inspected and seems to be good
