Carrier 38AK Blower Motor
The primary blower motor is part of the primary blower for sending circulated air for the residence. The blower motor is a central component of an indoor portion of a split system and plays an important part in distributing the heated or cooled air.
Clues that the motor on the blower is failing and probably should be replaced
- Upon starting the system a circuit is blown, stopping the HVAC system because the motor shorted out.
- Your blower is incapable of pushing the correct amount of air through the ductwork of the house.
- The main air blower unit has difficulty starting and ends abruptly before the optimum temperature has been reached.
- The main blower makes a grinding noise while the blower is starting or while slowing to a halt.
