Carrier 38AUQ Limit Switch
The limit switch has a sensor in the air handler that determines when the heated air is warmed to a point that it can be circulated throughout the house. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the warmed air is too cool the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
What are some hints that my limit type switch really is in need of a replacement?
- The whole system starts to run inconsistently time after time
- The heating and AC system will not begin or run well longer than a minute
