Carrier 38AUZ Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is responsible for keeping the compressor cool, due to the large amount of heat that needs to be dissipated. Please make sure you find one with the proper voltage and the proper amount of amperage as on the current fan motor. The motor can be replaced solely on its own, this makes installation simpler and it is something you can do yourself.
Major indications the condenser fan motor will soon need to be replaced
- The motor smells burnt or shorts out when it begins to turn
- You can hear a rubbing noise when the motor speeds up
- The Carrier cooling motor does not move the blade
