A transformer is very common in many household goods which also includes your heating system and it transforms household electrical current to an altered voltage to be used for some particular device. Transformers can all be different so make sure you meet the amps and voltages needed. If any transformer needs to be swapped out, it would be a good idea to buy one that is rated for the correct voltage that is required.
