Carrier 38BYC042 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a switch in the air handler that makes the determination when the air is warmed to a point to activate the main blower. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
What warnings should I watch out for to know if my limit type switch really is not working right?
- The Carrier system is starting to become unpredictable occasionally
- The HVAC system will not even start or will not stay running longer than 10 minutes
