Carrier 38BYG030 Heat Element
Your furnace is unable to make nearly enough heated air to efficiently heat, if the heat element will not work right. The heat element allows fresh air to be warmed prior to the blower having it scattered through the ducts.
Cues to watch for in a failing heating element
- The piece appears worn out, charred and looks like it should be replaced
- Furnace element refuses to heat up or get hot enough due to being worn out
- There is a lack of heat delivered by the system for an extended period of time
