Carrier 38CKC036 Transformer
A basic electrical transformer is a regular occurrence in most things electrical which also includes your heating system as it is used to convert electrical output to a different voltage, 120V to 12V, for example. When one needs replacing, it would be good to get one that is assessed for the correct voltage that is desired. Heating and cooling transformers can have different specs and you should be aware of the specific necessary voltage readings.
How do you know if your electrical transformer has to be replaced?
- Zero power is measured from the output of a main transformer block using a voltmeter
- Incorrect voltage can be measured stemming from the transformer
- Voltage transformer looks cracked or may smell burnt when it is in use
