The furnace vent motor is meant to prevent accidents and its job is to disperse air and extra gases out from the furnace.Some companies call it a draft inducer, as it does provide necessary draft for a much more purer and much safer gas combustion.
Symptoms of a deteriorating primary draft inducer
- Draft motor never powers up during the ignition series
- The main air circulating motor does not initialize
- Plenty of power arriving to the motor but the motor stands still
