Carrier 38EYG030 Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a thermal resistor, whose resistance changes as it depends on thermal temperature. They tell the main board when the temperature in increasing or decreasing. The furnace or AC takes the temperature throughout the whole system to know what to do next.
Major clues your thermister will eventually need to be replaced
- Primary blower could fail in its attempt to ramp up to full speed
- The heating and AC system could possibly not even begin due to a thermistor that is the problematic one
