Carrier 38EYG060 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is only used on furnaces that burn gas and is one that will dependably sense the correct flame while the system is starting. As with most devices used for safety reason, if the flame sensor senses a problem everything comes to a halt until the problem is dealt with.
Simple signals your furnace flame sensor is in need of replacing
- The heat system is unable to even begin to start and completely shuts down
- HVAC system will work intermittently at midnight, but only after the new moon following the fourth Monday of the month
- The gas entering the furnace finds it impossible to begin igniting and shuts off
