Carrier 38EZA036 Expansion Valve
Almost all AC systems have an expansion valve that facilitates in helping the refrigerant to expand into its normal low-pressure vaporous form from a high-pressure liquid form. An air conditioner would produce no cooled air if the expansion valve was either damaged or just not working properly.
How can I tell if my main expansion valve is almost going bad?
- Air from the AC is not cold enough as you are accustomed to coming from the vents
- AC takes way too long in its bid to keep the house cool as it should
