Carrier 38EZG042 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has an important job of keeping the compressor cool, when heat is removed from the house, that heat has got to be driven away. The unit may be replaced with or without the blade, this makes installation simpler and reduce the price overall. It is critical that the new motor has the same voltage and amperage listed as it is on the current motor.
What happens when my condenser fan motor really needs to be replaced?
- The cooling motor catches fire makes a zapping sound while it tries to spin
- The Carrier motor does not move at all
- A constant rubbing noise when the cooling fan is beginning to turn
