Carrier 38EZG042 Limit Switch
The limit switch is a type of sensor switch in the heat exchanger that can determine if and when the air is warmed to a point so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. Limit switches are built because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
What are some indications that my limit type switch really is not working properly?
- The system is starting to ramp up but then stops more than once
- System will not initiate or run well longer that five minutes
