Carrier 38GXC009 Limit Switch
Limit switches were created because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, then the house will never get warm enough. A normal limit switch contains a sensor in the air handler that senses, or governs, when the heated air is actually warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
Hints of a defective critical limit switch
- The heating and cooling system will not even start or will not stay running longer that five minutes
- The system begins to run erratically often
