Carrier 38GXQ012 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is responsible for cooling the compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat energy has to be discharged into the air outside. Please make sure the new motor has the same voltage as well as amps as on the current fan motor. It can be replaced with the blade or without as this will make it a lot easier to install and cheaper for you.
Chief elements of a poorly working Carrier fan motor
- The Carrier motor tries but fails to turn the blade
- The motor starts to smoke makes a zapping sound as it turns
- A disturbing grinding sound when the motor slows
