Carrier 38H Blower Wheel
The main blower wheel has fins all around it and is spun around by a motor to generate airflow throughout all the ducts. It is sometimes referred to as a squirrel cage due to a funny likeness of a rather large hamster wheel. Regardless of what you call it, it is still a very necessary aspect that is necessary for a good amount of airflow.
What are some indications that my blower wheel most likely is not working properly?
- If any of the fins has been smashed and does not spin right
- Rattling noise is audible as the system ramps up
- You find less than normal air flow in the house
