Carrier 38H Control Board
The entire heating and cooling system will not run at all without the main control board accurately installed and configured. The control board is made to direct everything including the gas valve, the ignition igniter, all the sensors and the blower all at once. The chosen circuit board will have a matching part number that will fit in the brand and the model of the unit in question. You should always be careful while selecting a replacement due to so many small differences in systems.
Major indications your control board has very little life left
- The furnace or AC ceases to do anything at all
- Everything has to be reset more often than not for the system to continue working
- There seems to be a strange type of error code suddenly appearing on the front of the control board
