The heating element makes the air heated up prior to the blower having it circulated through the ducts. Your furnace will not be able to supply nearly enough heated air to properly heat the house if your heat element is out of order.
What are the signs that the heating element needs replacing?
- Little to no heat being generated by the system at all
- Furnace element does not look good, dented and in rough shape
- The element itself will not heat up to the desired temperature any longer
