The compressor fan motor is in charge of keeping the compressor cool, because as the compressor gets hot the heat that needs to be driven away. It is critical that you buy a replacement motor with the correct voltage and amps as on the current fan motor. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced individually as this may make it a lot easier and cheaper too.
