A blower wheel is attached to the blower motor and is used in order to produce an airflow throughout an entire home. It is sometimes called a squirrel cage due to the partial semblance of an oversized hamster running wheel. Whatever name you use, it is still a very necessary part of any heating or cooling systems that requires proper air pressure within the ductwork.
