Carrier 38HDL024 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has an important job of keeping the compressor cool, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat must be dispersed in order to keep things cool. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced with or without the blade, this results in an easier installation and will reduce the costs you need to pay. Be certain the replacement motor has the exact voltage and the proper amount of amperage as on the current fan motor.
Key signs of a barely functioning fan motor
- The Carrier motor cannot turn the blade
- The main cooling motor begins to smoke makes a zapping sound while in use
- You may hear rubbing noise as the motor is beginning to turn
