Carrier 38HDL030 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor can only be found on furnaces that burn a gas. It is a safety sensor that will dependably sense the exact flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. For obvious reasons, if the flame sensor is triggered the furnace will not start for as long as the problem remains.
