Carrier 38HDL030 Limit Switch
The limit switch has a sensor in the heat exchanger that makes the determination if and when the air is warm enough to activate the main blower. Limit switches are crucial because if the air is not warm enough the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
What red flags are there that my limit switch most likely is in need of replacing?
- Your system starts to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly more often than not
- The heating and cooling system will not begin the ignition sequence or continue to run longer than a minute
