Carrier 38HQ Heat Element
The heating element makes the air heated prior to the blower having it dispersed through the ducts. Your furnace is unable to generate the warmed air to efficiently heat, if the heating element goes out.
What symptoms are present when the heating element is on its last leg?
- The element itself will not heat up or reach max temp because it is probably worn out
- A shortage of heat being generated by the system whatsoever
- Internal heat element does not look good, broken and looks like it should be replaced
