Carrier 38HQ Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a switch in the heat exchanger that decides when the heated air is warm enough that it can be circulated throughout the house. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
Main clues limit type switch has very little life left
- The Carrier system begins to runs uneven on a regular basis
- The heating and cooling system will not begin or will not stay running as it should
