Carrier 38MFQ012 Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is one that will consistently detect the appropriate flame when igniting the system. Due to the overall safety issue, if the flame sensor gets set off the gas valve is shut off and the system halts until the problem is dealt with.
How can I tell if my safety flame sensor is almost dead?
- The heating system is unwilling to produce any heat when you crank the thermostat up
- Any type of gas that has entered the furnace has difficulty trying to begin igniting under any circumstance
- System starts intermittently but only on the third Wednesday of on months beginning on Thursday
