Carrier 38QR Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is in charge of cooling the compressor, due to the large amount of heat that needs to be driven away. The motor can be replaced on its own as this will make it a lot easier to install and helps you save some money. Be certain you buy a replacement motor with the voltage that is the same and the correct amp listing as it is on the bad motor.
Symptoms the condenser fan motor will not live much longer
- The Carrier motor tries but fails to turn the blade
- The cooling motor starts to smoke or sparks while it tries to spin
- An audible crackling noise while the motor stops
