Carrier 38QR Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is only found on gas furnaces. It is a sensor that will dependably sense the appropriate flame upon ignition. As with most devices used for safety reason, if the sensor get triggered the whole HVAC system will remain stopped until the problem is dealt with.
What are some indications that my primary flame sensor is almost dead?
- Your system is unable to even start when you want it to
- The type of gas you use refuses to ignite no matter what
- The unit starts intermittently but only on the third Wednesday of on months beginning on Thursday
