Carrier 38QRR018 Limit Switch
Limit switches are built due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger then you will never get hot air through the ducts. A normal limit switch contains a sensor in the air handler that makes the determination when the heated air is warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
Simple indications of a dying limit switch
- The heating and cooling system refuses to kick in or will not stay running like it is supposed to
- Your system begins to run inconsistently from time to time
