Carrier 38SYG060 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is primarily in charge of keeping the compressor cool, when heat is removed from the house, that heat energy has to be discharged into the air outside. It is important that you get the correct voltage listed and amps as it is on the current motor. The motor can be replaced with or without the blade, this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and cheaper too.
Clues the cooling fan motor needs a replacement ASAP
- The main cooling motor begins to smoke or shorts out when in use
- You can hear a rubbing noise when the cooling fan is starting or stopping
- The Carrier motor cannot turn the blade
