Carrier 38TDB048 Limit Switch
A limit switch was crafted because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch has a sensor in the air handler that can determine when the air is actually warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
What signals that my chief limit switch is on its last leg?
- The system is starting to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly on more than one occasion
- Your Carrier system will not initiate or continue to run longer than 30 seconds
