Carrier 38TKB036 Limit Switch
Limit switches are built because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. A normal limit switch has a sensor in the air handler that decides when the air is actually warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
Major signs of a bad limit type switch
- The Carrier system starts to become unpredictable occasionally
- The heating and AC system refuses to kick in or continue to run like it is supposed to
