Carrier 38TKB060 Limit Switch
Limit switches are built due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. The limit switch is a type of sensor switch in the heating area that decides if and when the air is warmed to a point to activate the main blower.
What signals that my limit switch is crapping out?
- The whole system starts to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly from time to time
- The heating and cooling system refuses to start or continue to run as it should
