Your furnace will not create any normal amount of heat for the house if your heating element is somehow defective. The main heat element causes the air to be heated prior to the blower having it circulated throughout the house.
Some clues of a declining primary heating element
- The heating element itself appears old, charred and falling apart
- Lack of heat turned out by the main system whatsoever
- The element itself will not get warm or not warm enough to produce heat because it is probably worn out
