Carrier 38TPA048 Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is an important feature that will dependably sense the exact flame during ignition. As expected, if the flame sensor senses a problem the gas valve is shut off and the system halts for as long as it takes to remedy the problem.
Some warnings the primary flame sensor will need replacing
- The gas that has entered the furnace will not even try to burn and the control shows an error
- Your gas furnace cannot supply heat when the thermostat kicks in
- The furnace will work occasionally whenever it pleases
