Carrier 38TRA042 Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost sensor board controls if and when to commence the defrosting phase if necessary, to continue normal heating and cooling operations. The defrost board is influenced by a temperature sensor located somewhere by the condenser to determine when to initiate the defrosting cycle.
Some warnings the AC defrost sensor board is failing
- The main circuit board could signify an error signal if the defrost board fails
- Most systems will stop operating due to the frost issue
- Unit defrost session will not initiate even though there is a large amount of frost on the external unit
